How does the sizing run?
They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me.
Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also look great.
